Who is Coach Kayci?
It’s wonderful to have you here!
For a long time, counseling and therapy were the only go-to options for kids struggling with executive function challenges. And while those services are incredibly important, they’re not always the right fit. That’s one of the reasons I fell in love with coaching—it’s often the missing piece.
Coaching is about education, self-awareness, and action. It gives students practical tools and personalized strategies they can actually use in everyday life. It’s not just about talking through the struggle—it’s about doing something with it.
What sets my approach apart is my background in education. As a former Professional School Counselor, I bring an inside understanding of how schools work and what students really need to thrive. I served as the Section 504 Plan Coordinator and worked closely with Child Study and Leadership Teams to support students through accommodations, interventions, and school-wide SEL programming. That experience helps me not only relate to what kids are going through—but also help families bridge communication with educators and advocate for meaningful support.
I hold a B.S. in Psychology and an M.S. in School Counseling from Emporia State University. I’ve completed a Certification in Play Therapy through MidAmerica Nazarene University, and have over 100 accredited training hours in Executive Function Coaching through the ADD Coach Academy.
In addition to working directly with students and families, I co-run Uniquely Wired Kids—a professional development space where I train and mentor other coaches who support neurodivergent kids and teens. Through workshops, masterclasses, and hands-on strategy sessions, we equip professionals with the tools and confidence to coach in ways that are truly effective and heart-centered.
Outside of coaching, I'm also a wife and mom myself, so I understand how much energy and heart goes into raising kids. The work I do isn’t just professional—it’s personal. I’m here to support your child the way I’d want someone to support mine.
